It might mean having to delay your weekly fix of Strictly Come Dancing, but how about joining us for a 1974 themed party to celebrate 50 years of North Wymondham Community Centre? The creative Events Team have put together a programme of quizzes, games and competitions, with spot prizes, for We Adore 1974 on Saturday 19 October, starting from 7.30pm. There’ll be people in the room (and you might be one of them) who have had a connection or involvement with the hall in Lime Tree Avenue over the years, and will be sharing their memories. Previous staff and volunteers of Ladybird Playgroup will be particularly welcome. Talking Newspaper readers will be presenting some archive news stories about the building and there will be a handsome prize for the table with most points at the end of night! Period dress is optional but is encouraged and you can bring your own food and drink themed to the era. There will even be a chance dance to the Top Ten hits of 1974.
